De Duitse Georg Fock is een uit de vloot tall ships op weg is naar het noorden. Een tall ship is geen scheepstype, het is een populaire term voor de grootste zeilschepen, zoals barken, barkentijnen en clippers, drie- en viermast schepen van meer dan 50 meter. Ze komen uit de hele wereld: Zweden, Noorwegen, Denemarken, Polen, Rusland, Engeland, Duitsland, Portugal, Argentini\u00eb, Verenigde Staten, Indonesie, Columbia, Chili. De schepen trekken als een circus over de wereld, van sailevenement naar sailevenement. Sommige worden bemand door toeristen, zoals de Nederlandse Eendracht en Stad Amsterdam. Het Nederlandse marine zeilschipschip Urania is een opleidingsschip voor de marine.
